Last updated: 02OCT2023 (see Changelog for details)

JELOS (Just Enough Linux OS) is a custom operating system that is generally associated with lower-end hardware, but they also have an x86 (PC) build that works on any number of PCs, including handhelds. In this guide I’ll walk you through the steps of getting set up, and some of the nuances of this setup.

Review & Guide: AYANEO Air

Review & Guide: AYANEO Air

The AYANEO Air is the latest handheld PC to come to market, and it has some distinguishing characteristics: it’s ultra small for what it can do, and features a beautiful OLED panel with 1080p resolution. Let’s take a deep dive look at the device and see if it’s worth the $500+ asking price. Additionally, is it a “Steam Deck killer” or a “Switch killer”? I can never keep them straight.

Anbernic Win600 Windows Guide

Anbernic Win600 Windows Guide

Showcase: Windows 11 on the AYN Odin Pro

Showcase: Windows 11 on the AYN Odin Pro

A month ago I tested Windows on my AYN Odin, and I liked it so much that I kept using it. In this video I’ll show off some of the expected gaming performance if you want to try this for yourself. Overall I don’t recommend this for the Odin as your primary handheld, but it was a fun way to access some games you couldn’t otherwise play on this device. But in the end, you’re best served by using the stock Android operating system and streaming PC games instead.
